Connect with Phi Beta Kappa

As a lifetime member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, you share membership with some of the most accomplished politicians, scholars, writers, and businessmen in the world. This honor sets you apart from the rest and shows your capacity for critical thought, analysis, and good writing — skills that are continually sought after by employers. Here’s how you can make Phi Beta Kappa a part of your everyday life:

  • Maintain your connection to the liberal arts and sciences by contacting your local ΦBK Alumni Association.  Associations organize dinners, panels, scholarships, tours, and more in cities across the country. Interested in organizing an Alumni Association in your area? Please contact the Director of Society Affairs.

  • The Society sponsors lectureships, scholarships, two quarterly publications, and the renowned ΦBK Visiting Scholars program, in addition to initiatives with partner institutions to advance the liberal arts and sciences. The Phi Beta Kappa Society cannot change the world for the better without the support and activism of members like you. Please visit our giving center to help us reach our goals.

  • Your membership opens up to you a vast network of successful people in nearly every field. Phi Beta Kappa is active on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. All are great opportunities to exchange ideas and participate in discourse with other Phi Beta Kappa members.
  •

  • All members receive The Key Reporter, which will keep you abreast of the Society’s activities. To update your address in our system, please log in here.

  • New Phi Beta Kappa members have access to a free, one-year digital subscription to The American Scholar, the award-winning magazine that ΦBK has published quarterly since 1932. Sign up for your digital subscription now!

  • Phi Beta Kappa is partnering with Letterbanc to offer members a free LetterbancPro membership package. The package includes a free one year membership to Letterbanc plus two automatic Universal Reference Letter reviews valued at $95. Letterbanc is a trusted resource for students to find scholarship money, store and request confidential reference letters, and send out completed applications. Visit www.Letterbanc.com to create a new account, and enter the promotional code "PhiBetaKappa" for your free membership package today!

  • Phi Beta Kappa, Letterbanc, and Phi Kappa Phi are cosponsoring The Mark Twain Awards for Travel. The awards are open to all deserving students and alumni from any major who wish to enrich their education through exposure to people and places they would otherwise not encounter. Awards are unrestricted scholarships and range from $500-$2500 to be used for any local or international travel of any duration. See eligibility criteria and apply here. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis so early submissions are strongly encouraged!

  • Finally, this site will give you access to our ΦBK Member Network. This is a great tool if you are seeking dialogue or even mentoring relationships between our members. You will be able to blog, post pictures, send messages, and more!

Love of learning is the guide of life.
