National Office
The national office of the Phi Beta Kappa Society is located at 1606 New Hampshire Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C. Under the direction of the Secretary, appointed by the Phi Beta Kappa Senate, the national office is responsible for conducting the daily business of the Society and for the administration of its national programs, which include academic and literary awards, lectureships, a fellowship, a professorship, and visiting scholar programs. The national office also publishes The Key Reporter, the Society’s quarterly for all members, and The American Scholar, the Society’s award-winning magazine for members and the public.

Senate
Except during Council meetings, the Senate is the general administrative body of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. It consists of 24 Senators elected by the Council, 12 at each regular meeting to serve until the adjournment of the second succeeding regular meeting, or until their successors are elected. One Senator is elected from each district and the remainder from the membership at large. The Senate reports to the Council concerning the work of the Society. Senate Directory

Districts
The chapters and chartered associations are grouped into geographical districts designated by the Council. The Phi Beta Kappa Society's chapters and associations are divided into districts for the purposes of establishing a conference, nominating district senators, and promoting the goals of Phi Beta Kappa. Council
The Council is the legislative body of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and consists of Senators, past presidents of the Society, and delegates from Phi Beta Kappa’s chapters and chartered associations.
