Erica Albert

Erica is a rising senior at Binghamton University majoring in Environmental Policy and Law with a minor in Global Studies. She is from Seaford, New York. Erica is the founder and president of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby at Binghamton University, a bipartisan organization that empowers citizens to lobby elected officials for climate legislation. She has conducted multiple research projects on campus, such as evaluating PFAS in wastewater and using hyperspectral sensing to detect and mitigate Harmful Algae Blooms. This past summer, Erica interned in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Intern. Due to her commitment to public service, Erica hopes to attend law school after college and to serve as an environmental lawyer, where she feels she can best protect the health and well-being of people and the planet. In her free time, Erica enjoys cooking, hiking, yoga, reading, and traveling to new places with friends and family.
