Katie Ritchie

Katie Ritchie is a rising junior in the Honors College at Arizona State University, studying Public Policy and Economics. At ASU, her studies in economics, political science, and sociology have fueled her passion for public service and deepened her curiosity about social inequities within America's education system. This curiosity has led her to lead initiatives to increase educational access at the Arizona Governor's Office and as a Student Advisor to Arizona's State Superintendent. She spent last summer interning with the White House Liaison's Office and the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Communications and Outreach in Washington D.C., where she supported the Department's state and local engagement. At ASU, she represents students as the Student Body Vice President of Policy in Undergraduate Student Government-Downtown, while also serving as an Undergraduate Research Fellow and Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassador. Passionate about youth civic engagement, she currently supports the Tempe Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, where she oversees community projects of high school students across the city. Katie aims to build pathways for youth civic engagement, driving impact and mentoring young leaders to tackle key issues.
