Angeline Morgado

Angeline Morgado is a rising junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, triple-majoring in political science, international studies, and Latin American, Caribbean, & Iberian studies. She is also minoring in gender and women's studies and leadership.  

Her academic and research focus centers on Latin American migration, especially the Venezuelan Diaspora, with an emphasis on advocating for platforms and spaces for dialogue and protecting democratic principles. These values are reflected in her campus involvement as a representative of the College of Letters and Sciences in her university student council.  

As a first-generation college student, she also serves as the Communications Chair and Co-Fundraising Chair for the She's the First chapter at UW-Madison, raising awareness about the importance of access to education for girls worldwide and their leadership empowerment. Originally from Venezuela, she advocates for cultural and global cooperation, as demonstrated by her involvement with the Wisconsin Model United Nations Club and her role as a representative of Venezuela in the Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education network. Her involvements have shaped her path into public service, emphasizing humanitarian frameworks in research and policy.  

After graduation, she is eager to pursue a career that creates opportunities for marginalized communities to be integrated, safe, and empowered by their identities, supported by her research pursuits. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction, immersing herself in different worlds and perspectives, going on hikes, and watching documentaries.
