Derrick Darby, a Henry Rutgers Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, will visit the University of Tennessee on September 17-18, 2026. Professor Darby's lecture, "Hip Hop, Philosophy, and the (Broken) Social Contract", will be held on Friday, September 18 at 11:30am ET at the John C Hodges Library, Lindsay Young Auditorium, 1015 Volunteer Blvd, Knoxville. The lecture is free and open to the public.
