On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10 a.m., members will gather for a Piedmont Park History Walking Tour (weather permitting). The tour, which is free and open to the public, will be led by a Piedmont Park Conservancy Docent. We’ll explore the historical and physical evolution of iconic Piedmont Park from forest … to farm … to fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887 and the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895 … to Atlanta’s premier urban green space. Meet in front of the Visitor Center which is located near the park entrance gate at the intersection of 12th St NE and Piedmont Ave NE.
