The Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company will be presenting four performances of this one-woman play by Carol Levin in collaboration with and starring Tamara Meneghini, CU Associate Professor and head of the BFA in Musical Theatre program. This passionate and revealing play – threaded throughout with the monarch’s own words and passages from Shakespeare’s plays – shares the humanity, demands, and deep complication of being a woman and a leader nearing the end of her life. The first version of the play thrilled audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This version has been expanded for presentation in October at a theatre workshop in New York, and talks are underway to present it in London. The performance will be at the Boulder Dairy Arts Center, 26th and Walnut.
The association has purchased a block of 10 general admission tickets at a 10 percent discount. Each ticket is $31.50. The play is approximately 75 minutes long, with no intermission. After the play we hope to schedule a discussion and a talk-back with Prof. Meneghini. If you are interested, please reply contact board@pbkcolorado.org.
